Who was Louie? Jesse Chappell's mother, Charlotte, had at least four sisters, one named Eunice. Eunice married Jonah Cook, and they had six children: Walter, Jesse, Fanny, Louisa, Jane and Fredrick; all being cousins of Jesse Chappell. Louisa Cook, born in 1875, was approximately the same age as Jesse, who was born in 1876. They apparently spent a lot of time together, and referred to her as "Louie".
Who was Bess? Jesse Chappell's brother, Charlie, had three sons, Jesse, Fred and Harry; and three daughters, Bessie (a/k/a Bess), Rosie and Emma.
Jesse W. was Charlie's son, Jesse; Bessie's brother; Jesse Chappell's nephew.
Sarah was Jesse Chappell's older sister.
