Stress Test Images

A friend emailed me a couple of images recently. According to him (probably according to the forwarded email by which he acquired them) they test the level of stress a person can handle. The slower the items move, the better the person’s ability to handle stress. Sociopaths see them spinning around madly. Seniors and kids see them standing still. How that relates to stress, I don’t know. The first time I looked, they were essentially motionless. Tonight, they’re pretty active. If I’m gonna be up this late I ought to be getting some work done instead of blogging, so I probably have a lot of pent-up stress at the moment. Click on the thumbnails below (no, not the smiley) to see the bigger versions. Stress test or not, it’s sorta fun to look at one edge a few moments, then look over to the opposite edge; or go around the corners.

Hey y’all. Our blog is getting pounded by a couple of automated comment spammers. This isn’t apparent to you, since comments are queued until I approve or delete them. I’m just having to delete a lot the past few days. Until I have time to modify a bit of source code, I’ve closed comments for pretty much all but this and the previous post. Family members who are registered with passwords can, of course, still post articles. Sorry about the comment restriction, but that’s life on today’s internet. :duck: :umbrella: (Well, heck, and the smilies aren’t working again, too.

Update: got the smilies workin’! (I think)

Just Out Of Curiosity

Usually the first thing when I wake up (or try to wake up) is I check the clock to see what time it is. This morning, though, I didn’t bother.

Often, while I eat breakfast, I watch the TV to see what the weather is going to be, and if there is any news of note. This morning, though, I didn’t bother.

Generally, when I get to the office, I head for the message machine to see who wanted to talk to me before I got there, and whether it was anything important. This morning, though, I didn’t bother.

As a rule, after I’ve checked messages, I hit a few keys on the computer to call up the email program so I can find out if there are any new email messages I should be concerned about. Today, though, I didn’t bother.

Usually, when I realize I’m behaving a bit oddly, I wonder why. Today, though, I didn’t think twice about it.

Just out of curiosity, is all.
