They’re Baaaaa-aaack!
Meeces. Yup. Uh-huh.
So, other than that, how was your day, you ask?
Well, this afternoon I had to run over to Olathe to hand carry some court documents through the system over there. It’s a twilight zone. Well, they all are any more, but Johnson County is the most bizarre. I knew there would be some glitch. And there was. The court clerk wanted $5.00. I wasn’t supposed to have to pay $5.00, because I already paid it before. But I knew it was no use arguing. Better to just give her the 5.00, right? So I got out my billfold and laid a five dollar bill on the counter. She said, “It has to be a check.” How do you respond to that? It can’t be right. Hallucination. Reality check: “What did you say?” “It has to be a check. Five dollars.” Unfortunately, I didn’t have my checkbook. It took 15 minutes and two supervisors before they decided that cash would be okay.
I’m not even going to tell you rest of the story. I’ll just summarize: it gets worse.
Yup. Just another typical day.
:banghead:

You had to do all of that on a Saturday as well? Ouch! Hopefully the days since then have not been as bad. Silly Johnson County. I never liked Johnson County either.
I’ve got the most horrible pains going from my right hand all the way up to my neck. It’s not good. I have a feeling it’s my job which my chiropractor has told me to quit. Ya know, if I had a design job, I would be at the computer for most of the day as well. I guess that would be good pain though.
Have you come to any more conclusions about those two that want to be President? Keeping my political opinions to myself…maybe you should find out how they would get rid of mice and go with whomever gives you the better way. Of course, one candidate might have you blowing up your own house and the other might tell you his way, but perhaps he’ll change his mind about it later.
Good luck!

Well, no, it was Friday. I must’ve posted that after midnight, so it got Saturday’s date.
Bad about the horrible pains! Pain seems to be afflicting our whole family at the moment. Becky’s back has been so bad she can barely walk. My neck has been a mess for several days. Now Stephen and you. I don’t know what we did to deserve this. I just got back from a massage focussed on neck and shoulders, and my neck is considerably better at the moment. Would be nice if it lasts.
It still seems to be a choice between Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee. Every time one opens his mouth I get another reason to not vote for him. I could end up voting Bush/Cheney because I think they’re not as good at lying as Kerry/Edwards. But then I sure am sick of Republicans cow-towing to the religious right. So, I dunno. If I would vote my conscience: Nader?
