Evelyn at 82Today marked Evelyn’s 81st birthday. Becky and I drove down to Wellsville with a cake and a shirt Becky made for Evelyn’s birthday present. When we got there, Jeff and Paula were there with Mercedes, Amanda and Justin, and Jenni’s baby, Elliott. Evelyn was enjoying a vanilla shake from Sonic. When you visit Evelyn, the first thing she wants to know is whether you’ve brought her a vanilla shake. This one, sadfully, she downed a little too fast and lost it later. Evelyn on ParadeLast weekend they had a parade in Wellsville, which is where the nursing home is that Evelyn lives at. I didn’t get to go, what with being swamped by work. It was a beautiful day for a parade in Kansas. Evelyn rode on one of the floats. She had a blast.

I find it incredible that it’s been over three years since starting this Chappells Weblog. One of these days maybe I’ll go to the beginning and start reading. Wonder how long that would take? Would depend on time spent perusing photos and other things from the links. I really like the original concept of the www which was, in part, the idea of linking up related subjects and information. What a concept!
