Online Chappell Photo Galleries
There was originally an introduction that started this article, two paragraphs long, discussing befuddling aspects of Yahoo Photos which supposedly no longer exists due to merger with Flickr. But, when I finished and tried to read it for typos, well, it was just too much. So, I’ve cut this down (continue reading when done clapping) to what I really wanted to do, which was gather for y’all the links to sundry photo galleries of interest to the fambly.
So, here they are: we have the HarpShot Photos, the JCliff54 Photos, the JohnAtty Photos, the Chappell Famly Photos, and the Punster Photos. These links get you the “public” view. There are, in some cases, additional photos you can see by invitation. I’ve previously sent emails containing the password for certain collections (I don’t remember which now), and there may be other cases where people can view a collection after entering their email address or some other login.
In addition to collections on commercial photo sites, we have some on our own websites: the venerable China Grade, Cinnamon a la PhotoShop Elements and Cinnamon a la Picasa. There’s pretty much the same Cinnamon Collection among the HarpShot Photos on Flickr. In addition, before there was San Diego on Flickr, there was Kim’s Birthday here.
So, grab a beer  or other beverage of choice, some peanuts or other munchies, and click your way through a Chappell Family Photo Collage. Let me know if I left out other albums we’d like to share (having in mind the family theme), or if I included any that weren’t meant for sharing :nono: (having in mind that this is a public blog).
Mothers Day and More
Usually, when I get home from the office, Becky is pretty much knocked out from another day on the house clutter project. This involves hauling out boxes full of accumulated stuff, going through it, deciding what’s to be trashed and what’s to be kept. It’s tough work, and takes a toll on Becky by the end of the day. The Friday before Mother’s Day, though, I got home from the office, and coming up the stairs was greeted by my sweetie, all animated with sparkling eyes and big smile, saying “Look what the kids sent me!”
The following weekend we visited Evelyn at the nursing home in Wellsville for a Mothers Day Muffin Party. Jeff and Paula were there, as well. Evelyn was pretty happy to see everybody. I skipped the muffins, but I heard they were good.
This weekend was perfect weather and we spent part of it doing yard work.
So, check out the Flickr account for Mother’s Day photos, New Year kiss photos, a birthday photo, and a couple hotties doing yard work. You can see them as a slide presentation if you want. :jesors1:
Woo-Hoo I’m Norton Free

So my Norton AV ‘scription expired on the laptop and the prog was pestering me to renew. In fact, it almost auto-renewed. If anybody has installed a Symantec product, watch out because it defaults on “auto-renew”, not so good especially if you bought the prog online with a credit card which they’d have on file. I caught it on the day it was scheduled to auto-renew and managed to log in and “opt out”; plus, the credit card they had on file was expired. I was going to install different stuff a couple weeks ago, but the retinal tear set me back, especially after the laser surgery and the doc said “no reading for at least a week!” So today I got to it, after I mowed the yard and did a little cleaning in the garage.
The uninstall of Norton Internet Security was pretty easy. Just went to Symantec site, downloaded uninstaller, and ran it. No problemo, except it wouldn’t run until I uninstalled my PIM prog, ACT. Don’t know what that was all about. I had to search clear back to some old zip disks to find my ACT installation program to re-install it. It’s a 2000 version.
I was going to install Sygate Personal Firewall, based on research I did a couple years ago. But, come to find out Sygate got bought out by….. yes, Symantec. And of course Symantec discontinued the “free” version of Sygate. There were still Sygate downloads out there, but I decided to look around again. I ended up with Comodo, which is free. It installed real damn fast, as in no time, really. No more than a split second after I clicked “install” the “successfully installed” window popped up. I thought there must have been a mistake, but it really is installed.
Then I installed Grisoft’s AVG anti-virus. I didn’t need to research AV progs again. Already using it on one of the PC’s and it seems fine. And free.
And now I’m free of Symantec! :blat: Woo-hoo!
