Bootiful Fall in Kansas
It’s a pretty nice fall in Kansas so far. We had a cold streak for about a week, and then it warmed up. This weekend was absolutely perfect weather, and we did almost nothing to take advantage of it. Well, I mowed the yard, of course. We took a walk. The Baldwin Maple Leaf Festival was a week or two ago, and we missed it.
Been working on another website: Douglas County Bar Association. I couldn’t believe we didn’t have a website, so I put one together.
Cinnamon is doing okay. She seems like her old self except: tips head to the side almost always, demands expensive soft dog food, falls over occasionally when excited, farts a lot from the expensive dog food. But, she runs the yard like before, and likes to play keep-away with the tennis ball or chew-toy.
Interesting timing on a new judge’s slot opening up. I’m afraid I’ll have to go for it again, gang, but I expect it’ll be like always before. I just don’t have the connections.

Good luck with the judgeship, perhaps this will be your break! Keep your spirits up, don’t kiss ass too much or anything and it’ll work out great!
Are the mice still around? Or did they decide they would rather be outside for the warm weather?
We got PG&E out here on Saturday to light our pilot light for the heater. I just said we smelled gas and they were here in an hour! Of course he told me that having the roof leak like that is the worst thing for the heater.
Wish I could so something about it!
Can’t wait for your visit. 😉
‘nite kids!

Well, thanks for the encouragement.
Caught a couple of little mice, last one a few days ago. I don’t know if they were leftovers that finally crawled out of the nest, or what. Cinnamon hasn’t been pawing the landing, so maybe that was the last of them for now.
Yeah, a leaky roof is bad news for gas heaters. I had to get the furnace folks out last week, as ours wouldn’t stay on. Didn’t have anything to do with a leaky roof, though. Not sure what it was. Probably just hiccups. If I woulda kept re-lighting it a few more times it probably would’ve settled down and stayed on. Or maybe not. There went $83, though.
