Spring

Suddenly Spring is here, except last night we had frost warning and tonight it’s freeze warning. Becky and I spread sheets over the garden, since lots of tender young sprouts have sprouted.

Becky has us getting out a little more, picking up free tickets for things at work. A weekend or so ago we saw a play, Miss Saigon. It was good, except I didn’t think they needed to kill off the mother at the end. Most people who know about plays and stuff would no doubt agree it had to be done in order to make the point, or something. Last night we went to a concert at KU. The opener, Hometown News, was excellent. The main act, Kevin Sharp, was good, but we liked Hometown’s music better. Sharp is a cancer survivor and this was a benefit for a thing called Camp Quality. They’re both “Country Music” genre, but it didn’t really seem like Country. Maybe there’s Country and there’s also Country & Western? Or Progressive Country? Anyway, we liked ’em.

Nothing really new in our lives to report. Each of us a year older than a year ago which seems like it wasn’t very long ago.

March Madness

As promised, here are pictures of the swingin’ 50-something-year-olds. These were at South Park. To round out the outdoor fun theme, though, here’s one of Kim frolicking at Centennial Park during her visit earlier this month. As for the other March Madness, with KU and Stanford and Pacific out of it, it’s hard to get excited. Nevertheless, we spent most of the day with the TV tuned to various basketball games. Becky, however, was mostly reading a book, and I was mostly working on a client’s website: Pryor Oil Company.

Speaking of 50 year olds, I’ve seen “quintagenarian” several places except the dictionary. Anybody know the dictionary word for somebody in their 50’s? Maybe I’ve just looked in the wrong dictionaries.

Quickie

|Cinnamon’s back to eating dry dog food. I mean, the food is dry, until I pour water on it; it’s not just for dry dogs. Brr, it’s turned back to winter. No snow, at least. Recently received more ancestor photos from England. Will try to add them to ancestry section before too long. New brakes on Miata are great. It’s interesting how you get used to something that slowly depreciates, so you don’t realize what a big difference there is from how it used to be. Like my brain function. Becky and I went down to South Park Saturday while it was warm out, and enjoyed the playground. In a future article, I may include actual pics of the swingers!| photo of John's swinging feet|
