The neighbor’s mimosa trees have grown like crazy thanks to all the rain plus some good ol’ Kansas sunshine in between. They smell great. We can smell them in bed at night, if it’s a night it’s tolerable to have the windows open. Took some pictures which you can peruse if you want by clicking that photo there. These were taken after we helped them cut off a whole lot of branches that were hanging over the fence, practically touching ground from being so laden with blooms. I also ran video of the wind blowing the trees Sunday morning a week back. Mostly the mimosas, but some cottonwood, too. At the moment, it’s too big of a video. Tried uploading to Google Videos and somehow 800MBs turned into two seconds of nothing, despite taking four hours to upload. Will think of something else. It’s a very pleasant video to watch and listen to; our version of the seashore, sort of. You can watch a short segment here.
